Immigrating to Massachusetts from Pakistan

As Pakistan deports 1.7 million Afghans and undocumented foreigners, we’re expecting a wave of Pakistani immigrants to the United States.  If you’re looking for somewhere to land and start a new life, Massachusetts is an excellent choice. A thriving Pakistani community is in our state, with many settling in Framingham, Dover, Townsend, Sagamore, Longmeadow, and right here in Boston.

The universities and educational opportunities here in Greater Boston need no introduction.  If you would like help securing a student visa, or attaining an employment visa after you graduate, you can contact my office to get started.

Immigrants from Pakistan have a wide range of opportunities for employment. Pakistanis in Boston are often successful at securing middle-rung or high-paying jobs as doctors, professors, engineers, and researchers at Boston-area hospitals and universities.

There are plenty of opportunities for entrepreneurship, too. Pakistani entrepreneurs have found success as tech startup founders, as restaurant owners, and in other ventures.

Tell me your needs and goals and I will help you secure the appropriate visa for your career.

USCIS Processing Times

Expect long wait times anywhere, whether you’re settling in the Boston area or you’re looking at other areas of the state or country. Many immigrants wait nearly a year to see their paperwork processed.

The good news is I can help you avoid unnecessary delays by ensuring that your paperwork is correct and your evidence is sufficient before you send it in. Contact me today if you would like help with your application or with any other step in the immigration process.
