You may have only one chance to pick the right immigration attorney, so you should only need to worry about one thing: finding the attorney who’s best able to help you achieve the immigration status you need. The state you live in shouldn’t hurt your chances of that.
It’s great if your first-choice immigration attorney happens to be down the street from you. But what if the immigration attorney you want is many miles away?
Not a problem. You can work with me, Boston immigration attorney Giselle M. Rodriguez, even if you don’t live in Massachusetts, or don’t ever plan to set foot here. I am federally licensed, so I can help you no matter what US state or territory you reside in. That’s one reason I’ve helped clients in 19 states and counting.

You’re used to handling great distances. The home you want – the US – is a long way from your original home. The immigration attorney you need may be a long way from your current home.
It only makes sense that most aspects of your immigration case can be handled from afar, because many people trying to immigrate aren’t even in the US yet. If you’re already here, that generally only makes things easier.
What’s the downside? Only a minor one: if you’re not in Massachusetts or a nearby neighboring state (like Rhode Island or New Hampshire), I can’t accompany you to the USCIS interview. That shouldn’t be a problem, though, because (1) you may not even need one, (2) you may not want or need help on the interview, and (3) we can always prepare for the interview during a call. One way or another, you will have a great interview.
You may even find that working with me across state lines is even more convenient than being able to drop into the office. What’s more convenient than being able to work with your attorney from the comfort of your home?
Whatever you do, don’t settle for almost the right immigration attorney, just because that person happens to be in your state. It may mean the difference between a prosperous life in the United States and being stuck for many years.
If you’re outside of Massachusetts and think I’m the right attorney for you, contact my office today to discuss your case. I handle a wide range of immigration challenges, and probably have already helped someone from your native country.
And if you ever do come to Boston, celebratory drinks are on me.
